Advertising and Design
We have been working with advertising since the company was founded in 1991. The assignments have varied and are always challenging and interesting. Advertising has to be designed to be visible, in order to get the message out – whether you want to sell something or raise money for charity. Each assignment is unique, just like the company or organization that is our customer.
Each mission begins with an analysis. Our task is to find the unique selling points of your company, competitive advantages and target group. The analysis of the organization, mission and target groop gives us the material we need to work on a design. When the target is identified, it is easier to find the best ways for communication to reach out. This lays the foundation for the graphic design. Marketing is heavily based on a uniform graphical corporate identity, which is crucial in order to succeed.
When the graphic design is completed and approved, the lay-out phase begins. All texts and pictures are put together, within the graphic design frameworks, seeking balance between shape, colors, images and texts.
It is a challenge to capture the reader – many people do not read subtitles. There are studies that show that people start by looking at pictures, then titles and captions. If you have succeeded in arousing the readers interest, the person will begin reading the text. The texts are extremely important. The title should capturing, arouse curiosity and be attractive enough to encourage the reader to learn more. The preamble must deepen the interest and bring the reader into the text, interesting him or her to read more. The text must be well balanced and well-formulated - not too long, not too short.
The right image is important. The picture is, according to surveys, the first thing you see. The picture has to attract the attention and bring the reader into the texts. Sometimes there are no pictures available, but the lay-out has to be catchy anyway. Sometimes we have to manipulate the pictures: a piece of furniture that has a handle that needs to to disapear, a child with a chocolate spotted mouth that needs to be "washed" or a change in color of upholstery or wood. We do a lot of furniture, which means that we are accustomed to adjust to the right shades on wood and fabrics.
